The president of Islamic Azad University has announced the forthcoming launch of an office in Georgia in the meeting of the IAU Central board of trustees.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Mirzadeh stated that owing to the common culture, history, and academic relations between Iran and Georgia, it has been decided that an IAU office will be opened in this country.

The IAU president also referred to the Afghanistan branch and noted that “student tuitions will be reduced by about 15% in order to support Afghan students and allow for higher rates of admission in comparison with last year.”

The IAU’s central board of trustees meeting was held with the presence of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, the president of the Expediency Discernment Council, Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh, Hojjat-ol-Eslam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, Hojjat-ol-Eslam Mohammadian, Dr. Jassbi, Dr. Azizi, and representatives of ministries of Science, Research and Technology and Health and Medical Education in the Expediency Discernment Council.
